Rates

Our rates are based on the document to be translated. The technical difficulty of the material, the translation window, the language, and other factors are all taken into consideration. Consequently, it is difficult to provide prospective customers with "ONE" rate.

However, to assist customers in making a "ballpark" estimate of the cost of translating a document, we have listed our basic translation service rates below.

Charges are normally based on the source document. However, if source data (text, rtf, doc, xls, ppt, etc.) is not available, obtaining an accurate word or character count can be quite difficult. As a result, if an accurate word count cannot be obtained from a source document, charges will be based on the translated text.

Translation
Our basic translation rates are listed below. To get an idea of the cost of job, simply multiply the number of words or characters by the appropriate rate. For example, if you have a 1,000 word document to be translated from English to Japanese, you would multiply 1,000 X 12 Yen, giving you an estimated cost of 12,000 Yen. If you are unsure of how to calculate word or character counts for your document, please contact us for assistance.

Translations of patents, contracts, laws, and other highly technical documents are generally charged a surcharge of 50%. Additional charges may also result in the case of "rush" jobs.

Proofreading
Have a document that has already been translated? Not sure if it is correct? We can ensure its accuracy before you use it in meetings, as sales promotion material, in print ads, etc.

Japanese/English Checking/Rewriting
We can check your translated documents for spelling, grammar, word choice, awkwardness, fluency, etc. Don't let poorly written translations affect your business or personal relationships.

Editing/DTP
We provide basic editing/word processing service with all our translation services. However, we can do much more! We can do editing/desktop publishing for your manuals, guides, documents, etc. We also do data entry.
